Carol L. Drury
Scholarship Fund

Carol Drury was a major force in the BOW program. Over the past 16 years, Carol taught survival
skills, camping, outdoor cooking, fish & game cooking, and much more to hundreds of women, inspiring them to reach well beyond what they thought were their limitations.

Carol Drury
New York Outdoors Women, Inc. would like to honor Carol’s dedication to the BOW program. We have established a scholarship fund in Carol’s name. Partial scholarships to attend a BOW workshop will be awarded annually to women who have had military experience and/ or a cancer diagnosis.

Please join us in celebrating Carol’s life and commemorating her memory by making a contribution to this fund. Your donation is tax-deductable. Checks should be made out to
NY Outdoors Women, Inc. and mailed to PO Box 884, Albany, NY 12201.

We are a not-for-profit organization that assists the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation in providing BOW workshops in New York.

The instructors are experienced outdoor enthusiasts who are devoted to sharing their passion, experience, and knowledge. Their backgrounds are diverse and include certified guides, certified shooting instructors, and NYS Department of Environmental Conservation biologists. Their only compensation is the from feedback they get from workshop attendees. Below are some quotes from past BOW participants.

“This is a fantastic program. The instructors are very knowledgeable and a pleasure to learn from.”

“I had a GREAT time and was so impressed with the BOW program, volunteers, and enthusiasm. You’re going good work and I’m glad to be a part of it.”
